Chad, Shelise, Chris, and a few others, were
waiting for Fry Gurl to show up and make the deal.
We had weed but were waiting on our tweek to get here
from Seattle...
First we were at the
Greyhound station downtown waiting, then we waited at Jerry's Grocery for a few
more hours. Six hours after we started waiting for her she showed up. Chad made
the deal and we got our tweek.
It was
supposed to be a $50, but we got about $60 worth, for the long wait. We took off
from there and did something for a couple hours (probably smoked weed at
Shelise's) then we headed out (probably got kicked out).
We were headed up to my mother's garage to start our
night of tweeking.
We walked in a huge
group, Chad, Shelise, Chris, Livia, Tweeker, and a friend named Tamarat we found
allong the way. We headed up Blackburn Rd and then went north to the BP station
on Laventure and Section.
There we met
up with my brother Daniel and his friend Will .
Everone chilled on the side of the BP station, while
Chad, Livia and I
took Daniel and Will
around back to get stoned. My brother had never gotten high before.
We were all smoking out, except Will. After we
were done we came out from the back,
around the corner and saw flashing lights. I peaked my
head out and saw two cop cars with their lights flashing.
They were talking to our friends out there.
Livia, as always, had warrants
or a run
away report for her so she wouldn't go out there.
Chad was holding on to the weed and the tweek so I told
Chad not to either,
but Shelise was out
there, so he came out around the corner and first thing,
the cops point there flash lights at him. And asked him
who else was back there.
I heard them ask that, and they didn't sound
happy. Livia, Daniel, Will, and I booked it
as fast as we could away from the cops. Coming to the
end of they back alleyway behind the BP
I looked behind and saw them running after us with their
flashlights shaking up and down as they ran.
We hit a high wooden fence. Livia went over first then
Daniel, Will, and Me.
We continued
through someone's backyard running in the dark. Adrenaline going for us
all,
we managed to jump two highwooden
fences and like three or four chain link fences going from back yard to
back yard. On one of the chainlinks Livia had
got her foot caught somehow and I was frantic trying to get it out. Finally we
made it to an area that looked familiar. And it was apparent that we had lost
the cops.
But our friends were many
blocks away. And what had the cops originally stopped them for anyway?
and what happened after we ran? We made our
way through to this guy Shawn Labane's house
and used the phone to call a cab. I sent Daniel and Will
home since we were near.
I felt bad
'cause that's the first time Daniel had ever really hung out with me.
He was so scared and high for his first time.
Our cab arrived and we went back down town to Shelise's
thinking that that is were everyone might have went. But
nobody was there yet.
We waited and
none showed. I rode a bike down to the friendship house (a homeless
shelter)
were there was a couple named
Mike and Tray who had a truck I'd been staying in.
Everyone was there waiting on us. I rode the bike back
to Shelise's in the rain and got Livia.
Shortly after getting back to the truck we asked what
had happened and they told us that the cops were called because they were a big group hanging outside a small
store. When the cops arrived they ran everone's name and it just so happened that Tamarat had just ran from a
treatment shelter he was confined to. So they had arrested him and then heard us in the alley
and pursued us, but shortly after,
probably the first fence, they gave up. Glad that
everthing was still okay and that Chad still had my stuff
and their was one less person to have to smoke it with
we relaxed and try'd to smoke some tweek.
But we found that there wasn't enough light to smoke it.
We somehow, I can't remember quit how,
ended up spending the night at Shelise's.
Drama gone and done with, nice warm house and
a lot of lighting, we finally lit up our tweek.
