THE COMPILATIONS

Yesterdays · Classic Yes · Yesyears · Yesstory · Symphonic Music Of Yes · Highlights: The Very Best Of Yes · Something's Coming · Yes' Friends & Relatives

Yesterdays    (1974)

Yesterdays is an early compilation of the tracks from Yes and Time And A Word. It contains some sublimely beautiful music from each of these albums, in addition to the song America by Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel!

Classic Yes    (1981)

Encompassing much of the material from the Classic Period, Classic Yes is an excellent compilation! This set includes: "Heart Of The Sunrise," "The Fish" and "Long Distance Runaround" from Fragile, "Yours Is No Disgrace" and "Starship Trooper" from The Yes Album, "And You And I" from Close To The Edge and "Wonderous Stories" from Going For The One! There are also previously unreleased live versions of "Roundabout" and "I've Seen All Good People!"

Yesyears    (1992)

Review coming within the next 3 weeks.

Yesstory    (1992)

Of all the recent compilations, I believe that "Yesstory" is the best! Although, I can not speak for the several disc set:"Yesyears;" I feel that "Yesstory" contains the best selection of Yes' songs from it's various periods! It contains, "Survival" from Yes,"No Opportunity Necessary" and "Time And A Word" from Time And A Word, "Starship Trooper," "Yours Is No Disgrace" and "I've Seen All Good People" from The Yes Album! Also, "Roundabout," "Heart Of The Sunrise" and "Long Distance Runaround" from Fragile, "America" from Yesterdays, "Close To The Edge" from Close To The Edge, "Ritual" from Tales From Topographic Oceans, "Soon" from Relayer, "Wonderous Stories" and "Going For The One" from Going For The One, "Don't Kill The Whale" from Tormato, "Owner Of A Lonely Heart" from 90125 and "Rhythm Of Love" from Big Generator!

Symphonic Music Of Yes

This cd is very enjoyable! It showcases many of Yes' best songs with the accompaniment of a chorus and symphony orchestra.

Highlights: The Very Best Of Yes   (1993)

A very good, though not definitive example of Yes' work. I do not particularly care for the cover artwork, I would have preferred a Roger Dean cover!

Something's Coming or Beyond And Before

I do not have this particular release! Instead, I have "Beyond And Before." I like quite a bit of this cd, however the sound is not the absolute best!

Yes' Friends And Relatives

I like a great deal of this disc, review will be coming within the next 3 weeks!
