Demo-CD with five songs, presenting galloping guitar riffs and lyrics of spiritual and political stamp contends. Well produced, the cassette version of this demo had great distribution in the underground scene, surrendering invitations for several shows. Besides, the CD obtained positive reviews in the Valhalla Magazine (Brazil), Metal World (France) and Kollnot Magazine (USA), this last reproduced below:

CounterParts gonna get ya, no matter how far !

COUNTERPARTS:
Faraway From Home

Hailing from Brazil, Counterparts is the premier power metal demo in this issue. This band plays great traditional heavy metal along the same lines as '80s Iron Maiden and Helstar. Production-wise, the tape as a whole is superb quality for a demo. Three of the four songs on this tape consistently deliver galloping riffs, tasteful keyboards and plain but effective vocals. The tape's sole ballad, "Hurricane in Me," features intricate piano work and a very catchy chorus. My only gripe is that some of Vinicius Grilo's guitar leads sound dissonant, but overall the songwriting is catchy and the band's style is enjoyable. Highly recommended !

Demo-CD that shows a new era for the band, it marks the debut of guitarist Renato Angelo and Emerson Penerari in studio. In this work the band demonstrates a technical evolution that can be noticed soon in the song "Burning Sins", evidencing a new view for the band regarding the use of guitars and bass. "Final Pray" is a short song, but a hymn for the heavy metal. "Feelings of Pain" was chosen to enter the demo because of the great response of this song when played live - its strong refrain invites the audience to sing along with the band. "CounterParts", is the fastest track of the demo, which shows a great work on the guitars and vocals.
