Here's just about every other band I like that I don't have a cd of, but know more than 1 song & have mp3s, a video/videos or a song/songs taped off mtv/m2/radio (back in the day when I used to listen to radio), along with recommended songs, favorite quotes, &/or concert info. If you don't know any of their stuff, just start downloading a song that I mention.
And One--fun euro industrial dance; see if YOU can sit still to "Techno Man" >:-)
Apoptygma Berzerk--don't know much about them, but I've heard a lot of their songs & dig em all; "Moment of Tranquility" is good by them, though it is MUCH slower than the bulk of their material
Assemblage 23--another one of these recent 80's-influenced industrial/dance acts
Tori Amos--liked her ever since '92 with "Silent all these Years"
Beach Boys--this had to be my favorite band as a kid; I have a crappy tape with all their cutesy cheesy "best of" songs; "Good Vibration" & "Don't Worry Baby" are definitely my faves; haven't heard their 'Pet Sounds' stuff, though
Beck--liked ever since '94's "Loser"
Beborn Beton--more synth oriented, but very dancy at times too; you can definitely hear the biggest influence, Depeche Mode; "Elaine" is lovely
Big Wreck--cool recent Boston band that I saw at 107.5 the Buzz's Buzzfest in '98
Bjork--she's got some lungs; "Human Behavior"
Book of Love--"I Touch Roses", "Boy", & "Alice Everyday" are classics, & high school faves of mine

Front Line Assembly--good loud stuff similar to Skinny Puppy; you must hear "Left in Ruins (remix)" LOUDLY
Gary Numan--a synth pioneer that I've known about for years, but only recently got "in" to; great stuff other than the overplayed "Cars"!! also check out "Metal" & "Change Your Mind" & then compare to the more recent & much darker "Dark"
God Module--a more recent addition; another goth/industrial/dance group w/ haunting vocals & catchy synths; try to get the opening synthline to "Companion" out of your head!!
Goo Goo Dolls--they've been killed by radio, but oh well, they have a few catchy tunes
Guns & Roses--"take me down to the paradise city"
PJ Harvey--"Mansize" rocks
Hate Dept--these guys must be 80's influenced cuz they sure made a lot of covers; mix of goth, industrial & modern rock
House of Love--kind of a cross between the Church & Jesus & Mary Chain; "Christine" will make you drool
Iggy Pop--"Lust for life" gets me on the dance floor in no time
Jamiroquai--"virtual insanity"
Jesus & Mary Chain--"Head On"; compare that song with Blink 182's "All the Small things" & you'll see a striking resemblance..you can sing 1 song over the other easily...of course, "Head On" came like a decade earlier :P
Jimi Hendrix--need you ask? I just don't have any cd of him yet

Matchbox 20--another band that got killed by radio; also saw at Buzzfest '97
Sinead O'Connor--"put em on put em on put em on put em on me"

Tool--cool basslines, esp. "Sober"
Shania Twain--didn't think you'd see her here, huh?? no matter what she is (country/pop crossover??) or what funky clothes she wears (see that goth thing she wore at the grammies?), I still like her voice cuz it's not as whiny & annoying as other female country singers, or pop singers for that matter
311--cool basslines with a cool funky beat
Ultravox--moody new-wavish 80's stuff; "Dancing with Tears in My Eyes"
Until December--a long, lost mid-80's dance group that doesn't even belong in the "where are they now" category cuz no one ever really heard of em in the 1st place... except DJ's & diehard 80's retro junkies (like myself, lol); good luck finding anything of theirs, they don't even have albums on cd available!! you can find a few of their songs on some dance compilations, however; their self-titled song is awesome; "We are the Boys" is strangely addicting; I could go on, just check em out somehow!!
