Now, if you have a good look at the MIH cover, you might notice a few things. One, that there are two different shots used - sunset and sunrise. On the vinyl, sunset is on the outside, and sunrise on the inside of the gatefold sleeve. For the CD, sunset is used on the booklet and sunrise on the CD itself.

Now have a closer look... where did that tree on the right come from? And aren't those swans (or maybe ducks.. the house was known as the "Duck House"!) in the same place in both photos?

I think I can explain the tree, but the birds are more interesting.

Artwork, design and photography was all done by Richard Gray, and the base photographs for the cover were taken of a house in Switzerland where Freddie used to stay, with the actual cover being mocked up in England. At this stage, Freddie's statue was still in England too.
