The Soundhouse Tapes EP was Iron Maiden's first ever release, and it is of special interest to collectors as it has unique rough demo versions of three songs and only 5000 of them were pressed. The in-depth history of this EP can be ascertained from a couple of excerpts I've typed.
As there are some counterfeit copies of this record around, it is a good idea to verify that the copy you are buying is really the original, so a detailed description of the original is needed. For further reference, or strictly for entertainment purposes, I've collected some info about a couple of different counterfeit versions as well.
