First of I would like to say that I don't care about labels, so I guess I am not a "hardcore" punk. I like a band because of their musical talent. I know a lot of people out there think that Rancid are sellouts. Well, that may be true but you can't deny that they have good music. I started listening to Rancid about 2 years ago now, and they were the first punk band that I ever really liked. At that time I was one of those people who didn't realize that there was any other kind of music beside mainstream stuff. Rancid introduced me to lots of other great bands like NOFX, Pennywise, Operation Ivy, and Bad Religion.
