The Review: Novinostra

The Association is apolitical, non-party, non-profit making and non-commercial.

The Association propose to mantain, increase and stimulate the historical knowledge of the city of Novi Ligure and his territory. Its main purpose is to realize a meeting place for those who want study and deepen history, traditions, dialects, folklore, economics, customs and all the matters that pertain to the culture of Novi Ligure and its territory.

The Association will:

a) protect the historical and artistic heritage of Novi and his territory.

b) publish a periodical review called "NOVINOSTRA" that contains items about history, art, literature, economics, etc. about Novi and its territory.

c) establish with this review, and with other means, closer contacts with other cities of the surroundings, with reciprocal advantage, encouraging every initiative aiming at a better knowledge, development, dignity, and material and moral prosperity of Novi and its territory.

d) keep alive the memory of Novi and his territory between lots of citizens who lives in other cities and abroad.

e) support and propose the istitution of a Museum, a Gallery, a Library and Historical Archives for the collection and preservation of antiquities, documents, works of art and items that could help to illustrate the life and history of Novi and its territory.

f) publish studies abut historical, filological, geographical arguments (and other) concernig Novi and its territory.

g) promote, support and if necessary organize celebrations, meetings, debates, exhibitions, conferences, round tables, concerning the purposes of the Association in order to stimulate and increase the turistical and cultural development of Novi and its territory.

h) promote, increase and support the approach to the study of history and culture of Novi and its territory.

i) promote, support and if necessary organize collaborations with other associations and corporations with similar purposes.
