Greetings and Heepy day ! I like your website. I've been a Heep and particularly Ken Hensley fan since '72. The first time that I ever saw them was on T.V. They were on 'The Midnight Special' show in the U.S.A. The show was hosted by Helen Reddy and she gave a great intro to the band and they played 'Stealin'. Eventually I saw them live in Buffalo and Niagara Falls,N.Y. I saw them twice in Toronto, once with Jethro Tull. Can't wait for new material from Hensley. I haven't heard Heeps new album yet. The band I really like now is Dishwalla. The lead singer reminds me of Byron with his superb voice. Check out there 2 CD's, great stuff! I'm 41 now and both my kids like Heep(Just can't keep a good band down !!) Sunrise to all in this concrete garden because I'm into easy livin and a musical traveller in time

Uriah Heep is a band whose music can be heard over and over again and everytime you'd find a new meaning in the music, the lyrics and oh man... a lot of feel in the guitar licks.

Very well done - I hope you're richly rewarded for your efforts in preserving the memory of such a great (and under-rated) rock band! Did you know that the members of Three Dog Night (or at least some of them) would hang out with (at least some of them) Uriah Heep. This I gleaned from Jimmy Greenspoon's autobio, 3-Dog Nite's keyboard player. Keep up the good work!

I was searching my land for an enemy
Just a man in my prime.
Taken to distraction by maicians Birthday.
As we told our tales so sublime.
no Pilgim at the grey of Dawn
Although i was lost in the Sunrise
Feeling a Sweet Freedom deep inside
I pledged my whole life to the sun.
At Cobo Hall in '76
I was Stealing away till dawn.
A hot night in a cool town
No Spider Woman to be found
So I engaged my strength on a July Morning
Not a Wizard on a shelf.
Came the day, a resolution
To use a freind, I just looked at Myself.

Boris my man !
In 1973 I was 14 years old and came as oleh hadash to Israel & got immediately addicted to bands like Uriah Heep , Pink Floyd , Deep Purple and others . When I read your pages I can mirror part of my past & even relive it with a sweet taste. You know , my man , I saw Heep in 94 playing the Paradiso in Amsterdam , in front of no more than some 200 gathered ole hippies , like myself.I stood front row , screamed every song along , and looked Mike Box in the eye. At the end of the show , he shook my hand and screemed over to me : "where you from , mate ?" I screamed back : romanian ! He pulled me on to the stage , back to the backstage and the rest of the night we got pissed & played pool in town . It was me , Mick & Lee Kerslake and no one , NO ONE , recognized 2 of the most famous rock stars of the 70's , playing pool in the basement of the "Hill Street Blues" bar in Amsterdam. Now, that was a dream come true , my man ! Bless you , and keep in touch , Hardy

Let me congratulate you on an excellent site. I am 38 yrs. old and have loved the Heep since about 1973. I have seen them several times since 1975 (but missed Gary Thain) and of course have every album available.(but still have to finish off my collection of remasters). I have been digging into my archive of old albums this week while on holidays (thanks to the reviews in the newest UHAS magazine) and love the Lucifer's Friend albums that I have and never played before!Tonight I am playing the Spiders From Mars album (Pye 1976) and I'm really enjoying it! I don't think I ever played it before. Way to go, Trevor! I am new on the internet this past month and am blown away by all the interest in the Great Heep! It is really exciting! Now for a record deal in America! My last comment I checked out a site tonight called "All-Music Guide" where all bands and albums are listed and you can rate and correct any information. There are lots of errors concerning Uriah Heep. Maybe the Heep Army can put this information right? Heepfully yours!

This is great. Uriah Heep is great. I never thought there would be so much UH fans. That's because no one of my friends know UH. I'm desperately trying to let them listen to UH, I really think that everyone ought to know UH. I'm probably one of the youngest fans, and I know that I will be a fan for the rest of my life.

I've been a UH fan since the early 70s. I've been listening to them since the days where pirated cassettes were selling latest releases for S$2. Since then my collection has upgraded to pirated LP (S$5 per piece) and then original cassettes then original LP. Now CD and re-mastered CD. If there's UH Gold CD, I guess many of us would buy them too. Wow... how things change but we remain the same. Still a UH fan.

Hi Boris,
Today, I took a long time to discover your web site. It's fantastic. There is a lot of information about what the Heepsters love in music. It's very interesting to know that. I'm very surprised, because I like the same music (Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, Whitesnake, etc) and the same Heep's songs. I saw that I voted just for the albums section. Later, I'm going to vote for the other sections. Thank you very much for what you do for all Heepsters of the world.

Hey Boris, I'm the guy you think is an idiot because I mainly like the era with David and Garry. My only point was, this was what I came to love as Heep. The other variations have certainly made some great contributions. When Garry left, part of the magic left. When David left, all the magic was gone for me. Heep still carried on, and they were a great band still, just not what I had been hooked on. Being a musician, maybe I'm a little more sensitive to stuff like that, maybe not. But I'm proud Heep still carries on to this day!

I have been a Heep fan since D&W then I went back to V'eavy V 'umble next was Magicians B'day then Salisbury, etc.etc. I saw them in Toledo O on tour with Jethro Tull but unfortunately after David left. I never saw them again. Had my chance about four years ago in Columbus O with Bernie(?) Shaw. Maybe I'll get another chance since they are cooking with Sea of Light. This country doesn't seem to appreciate this era/style even updated! Maybe I'll talk to you again. See ya! Keep rockin'..........

Hi there!!
Have had the extreme priveledge of seeing Uriah Heep live since 1970!(and by the way my son loves Man.Utd.!!)1st saw Heep in a TINY club with the sadly missed David Byron-and Very 'eavy Very 'umble had not even been released yet!!I think it's amazing that in a few years the band will be "30"!! and I feel that "Sea of Light" is a hell of a good album--Particularly "Time of Revelation"
--All the best and as "Mick" would say--'Appy Days!!!-------Geoff Smith.
p.s. To see the band here is real hard work !!--better to live in Germany!!

Hi Boris!
this is a good begining...!!!! Ha Ha Ha!
but i expect from you to more, because i know how much free time you have these days. By the way, the UH CD (Sea of Light) that you gave me to listen is nice but Deep Purple is always better.
Shalom Shabat and Shabat Shalom and good luck from Haim!

Always nice to see the growing number of Heep related sights. The web has been a "Time of Revelation" for me, as previously, I thought I was the only Uriah Heep fan left. keep up the good work on the site!

It's great to see so many HEEP fans still around.
I think HEEP is very much Hensley and HEEP needs him to reach the same levels as before 79!

Greetings from Brazil... great site you have there ! It's deffinitely a goal to us, Heepsters... :-) Please, keep up the excellent work. I'll come back always, to see and join your polls.

Cheers ! Rodrigo

About your site - hey, CONCURENT appears!!! Very good concurent indeed. :) I shall comment your site in my links page! :) IMHO all this polls is a good idea, but too many polls in one time. Already had been some polls (on mailing list): for best heep song, best heep album, best "another" band, best song from Sea Of Light...

Will You Welcome Please, England's Own Uriah Heep!!

Great new Heep page!

I really enjoyed your new ideas for Heep surveys. It would be cool to see the profile of a Heep fan! Also thanks for the plug but I can't take credit for the Top 10 lists. List members suggested all the polls! I'll come back and participate in your votes when I have a little more time!

Keep up the good work!

Thanks, Mac Steagall
