Meditation is an interesting and helpful skill to learn. You will need an intense amount of concentration, but don't actually be severly hampered by concentrating to hard. This will take a lot of patience and of course practice to learn and master the skill of meditating. But however, like tying your shoe, or riding your bike, once you've learned...you don't really forget that easily. I hope these tips help you in every way that they're meant to help. :)

  1. Relax, you have to be calm..it is required, also free of stress to do it. If you lose your focus while trying, don't give up or frustrated about it. Remain calm and try again. It's perfectly ok if you focus to deeply and fall asleep.
  2. When you meditate it is important that you aren't distractable and are very very comfertable. Relaxing music, having the room dimly lit, sitting on the floor, having a blanket around or under you are some things to help. Make sure your sitting posture is comfertable and will be at all times. Try to make it so you are warm, but not to warm for this will lead to drowsiness.
  3. Burn any liked or favorite scents, incense, or candles. Just as long as they are not unbearable or irritable.
  4. Warm, short showers before hand help emensly. Sweaty and stickyness make you feel uncomfertable and figety. Put on any amount or type of clothes as long as you feel free and comfertable in them.
  5. Anything that will cause your body to calm and relax itself is advised. (No drugs or anyting.) Teas work the best, especially herbal ones.
  6. Eat a light meal before hand. You don't want to be to hungary, but not to full.
  7. Keep magic out of it, or at least until you have a better idea of what you are doing.

Meditating itself:

  1. Relax and get in a calm state. Put any stresses, or trouble of ANY kind aside for now.
  2. Breath monotonously, slowly, and yet deeply. Make your lungs fill alkl the way with air and slowly breathe out, collapsing your lungs.
  3. Close your eyes, but not to tight, just gently. Eliminate any noises or sounds around you. Try not to think about anything (hair, make-up, family, work, etc.)
  4. Get your eyes into a comfertable position. Try just letting them go on their own till they are comfertable and then leaving them there. Try not to get distracted from where your eyes are. This will unfocus you.
  5. Start your visualization/meditation you have chosen to use. Bring all your attension to that thing and leave it there. If your minds begins to wonder, calmly re-focus it back.
  6. Let your whole body relax itself as competely as it is possible.......

Visualizations/Meditations

  1. Picture the earth beneath you. Picture several points within the earth. Then bring all of these points slowly together and up towards you, converging them in a way that they form the roots of a tree glowing brightly whiteness attached to you where you sit.
  2. Visualize the Earth's power coming into you, welling up inside of you. Imagine yourself as the trunk of a great tree. As your leaves break outward, see the roots of the tree as the branches arch farther into the earth till all that is there is the roots. Go back to the points from number 1. (I have separated these two..#1 and #2 for better understanding.)
  3. Visualize a beautiful waterfall or spring flowing from you or near/into you. Or try visualizing it flowing form your head to the floor.
  4. Picture anything exceptionally beautiful to you and keep it vividly focused in your mind.
  5. Let your mind dance to a slow, soothing rhythm or song without lyrics. Just let your mind go onto it's own.
