Unity

I used to think
in my small mind
that One was
a single, lonely number

but I came to see
with eyes open wide
that One is a much
larger number

It encompasses
everyone
for we are all the same
and we are all connected

In my heart I felt
this revelation
and it made me grow
and have joy just to be a part
of this everything

my tears are not
just my tears
they are shared by all
my laughter is not
just mine
or my love
or my hate

So it is to be
for we are all free
to give
and to receive
what it all is
what we all are

We are never a l o n e
We are all One ~fs
