PLOT: Two young Southern lovers (Tom Jackson & Amber La Bella) are torn apart by a jealous man (Steve Terwilliger). A tragic operetta, a musical with its own choral section onstage through the entire show.
HISTORY: Though I had been involved with the East High chorus
for about a year, I had never been involved in anything quite
like "Down in the Valley" before.
Clare Reidy, who directed me in the dance scenes, later
recommended me to Rafael Grigorian, who then cast me in the
"Russian Nutcracker" less than two months later.
