Well I decided to create this little page to give you and idea of who's behind all this. The mastermind behind this madness I call The First Unofficial Fastball Homepage. There's not much to say really, except that I really love Fastball. I met the guys in person and have been inspired ever since, because they are so very down to earth and damn friendly.
Okay and now on to me I suppose. I am female, hehehe hope ya noticed that, my name is Erika and I live in sunny San Diego (not counting the wonderful smog we get). I was born and raised in the states, born in Chicago, and lived nearly all of my 22 years in San Diego.
Love: My babies, family, coca cola, humour, a cool breeze on a hot day, cold pepperoni pizza in the morning, Haagen Dazs (any flavor), sleeping in (when I get the chance), watching The Dennis Miller Show, the half yearly sale at Nordstrom's, the relief of soaking your feet in the cool Pacific after skipping across the 150 degree sand to get there and green lights.
Don't Love: Traffic, smog, El Nino, washing dishes, ignorance, microwaved food that's scalding hot on the outside and frozen in the middle, losing my socks in the dryer (where do they go? and why do they want to ecape?), and bad attitudes.
Odds and ends about Your Truly: Well I'm basically a very nice person, can't ya tell by the halo around my head? That's about it. My off the wall sense of humour can be entertaining if not annoying at times, and I've got to be the worst joke teller, I either screw up the punchline, or forget it entirely. There isn't anything really fascinating about me, I don't have tattoos, I don't have anything pierced on my body (ooh, that's my low tolerance to physical pain issue) I can't say I have a cool sense of style, my one rule of thumb is comfort.
I live in San Diego, so I have a choice selections of beaches to go to. Although I wouldn't recommend swimming at Mission Beach (yuck, I've heard some horror stories about what washes up there), I would highly recommend La Jolla, Solana Beach, or Del Mar.
I love a million and one different styles of music. And yes, that even includes some rap and country. Music is a creative form of expression, and although some artists do it better than others, I appreciate it all. I especially support local bands, because San Diego's music scene is as diverse and eclectic as the people who reside here. A few that are coming out of the woodwork, (fellow Hollywood Recording artist) Sprung Monkey, Blink 182, Buck O Nine, Rocket From the Crypt, and Fith. Let me tell you a quick story about Fith. I'm surprised and happy that the band is still playing and now have a new cd. Because, these guys are from my old high school. And I had a crush on bassist Mike Teague in my math class at Wagenheim Junior High, lmao. Small world isn't it? Anyhow a few years ago, my best friend Coline (who went to high school with Mike, I unfortunately moved and went to school in a different district) would give me updates about the going ons at MMHS and mentioned Mike was in a band called Fith. Then told me what it stood for. Sorry, but you'll have to figure that one for yourselves (it's actually an acronym) Well anyway, I wish them luck, fortune and prosperity (*smile*)
That's it, hey I didn't promise anything juicy here, just simple facts about moi. Bye bye!
