Ice and Violence

Our
six month anniversary was coming soon and I was racking my
brain about what to get Allan. We had decided that since our
sixth month anniversary would be on Feb. 7th and Valentine's
Day was the week right after it, we would give each other
one nice combination gift. I was getting nothing but dud gift
ideas until one night, at work, I remembered that Allan had
mentioned on our first date that he wanting to see a Capitals
game because of the new player that they had acquired from
Pittsburgh. So I started web surfing to find terrific seats
at somewhat reasonable prices. I eventually found seats that
I liked. I got 2 seats right behind the visitor's penalty
box for the Minn.
Wild vs. Wash. Capitals game (Feb. 6th).
I tried to keep it a secret from Allan, but gave him a few
hints as well to keep him intrigued. He quickly figured out
what I was getting him. Allan got off work early so that we
could take the metro to the MCI
Center, plus have time to get a bite to eat. We had a
nice meal at the Hard
Rock Cafe and then went to the game. Our seats were outstanding!!!
Allan looked like he was the happiest man in the entire world
when he saw our seats. The game was a good one. The Caps won
2-1. We were blessed to sit with some creative hecklers.
