Bruises and
Disbelief

Allan
and I parked at Towson
Town Center (local mall) to make a trip to the comic book
shop. When we were walking through the parking lot, I spotted
a shopping cart. I told Allan that I could fit in the front
basket of the cart. He didn't believe that I could do it.
Being the stubborn person that I am, I climbed into the shopping
cart and maneuvered my body into the front basket. (Keep in
mind that I'm 5'1" and weigh about 120 lbs.) We tooled
through the parking lot a few feet laughing and enjoying the
looks that we were getting.
Soon
it was time for me to take my leave of my cozy basket. I eventually
got out of the basket and realized that my leg was hurting
a little bit. I didn't think much about it, because my body
was in a tight spot. A few days later my leg was still sore,
so I looked at it and saw that I had bruised my leg. Apparently
I either bruised my leg getting into the shopping cart basket
or getting out of it. The whole point of the story is that
although I did bruise my leg to prove to Allan that I could
do something, I was still able to show him that I could do
it.
