(Wiccan tools down below intro paragraph)

  Merry meet,all who enter.

Wicca is a beautiful religion centered around the
Goddess and the God. The focus is on the beauty and power of the earth.
We all draw our energies from nature, a beautiful gift that we are all
capable of enjoying, no matter what religious belief you belong to.
If you are well enough to have an open mind about subjects, and not shout
"You worship the Devil!!", then please visit the other sites on Witchcraft
listed on the links page.
All Wiccans worship a God/dess. We do not beleive in the devil, but we do
believe in angels as well as demons. So feel free to ask all the questions
you want about Witchcraft to me, if I can't answer, I'll direct you to the
right path. Thanks and blessed be!!!

Yule: the Winter Solstice, Yuletide (Teutonic), Alban Arthan (Caledonii)
Around Dec. 21
Yule coincides closely with the Christian Christmas celebration.
This Sabbat represents the rebirth of light. Here, on the longest night
of the year, the Goddess gives birth to the Sun Child and hope for new
light is reborn.
Yule is a time of awakening to new goals and leaving old regrets behind.
The Christian tradition of a Christmas tree has its origins in the Pagan
Yule celebration. Pagan families would bring a live tree into the home
so the wood spirits would have a place to keep warm during the cold
winter months. Bells were hung in the limbs so you could tell when a
spirit was present.
Food and treats were hung on the branches for the spirits to eat and a
five-pointed star, the pentagram, symbol of the five elements, was
placed atop the tree.
The colors of the season, red and green, also are of Pagan origin, as is
the custom of exchanging gifts.
A solar festival, Yule is celebrated by fire and the use of a Yule log.
A piece of the log is saved and kept throughout the year to protect the
home. That piece is used to light the next year's log.
(FROM HERE ON IS MY WRITING AGAIN :)

Here are some elements that are common in Wicca:
--The Circle (Pentagram)
--Book of Shadows (the Grimoire)
--Athame (Religious Dagger)
--Candles

The circle is a five pointed star enclosed in a circle. Known as a
pentagram. It is the symbol of love. The four corners on the side
represent the elements of nature (Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire) and
the top point represents the "Spirit" or "Soul".
Pentagrams are cast large enough so that one (or a coven) can sit
inside of the protective circle. It is the holy space where one can
be in the direct presence of the God/dess. It must be cast and closed in
a ritualistic manner.
Pentagram jewelry is also worn for the same reasons that Christians
wear crosses. Keep in mind that the star is pointing up, not down like
the Satanists symbol.

Book of Shadows is very much like a spellbook, but it keeps more than
that inside. It can also contain information on candle-color meanings,
the moon cycle, herbs and spices, and various other things of Wiccan lore.
(I have yet to write one, seeing as I haven't found a large enough plain
hard-back book. Thanks to Selene for telling me of the BOS's other uses)

The Athame is the religious tool that is used when opening a circle.
It is used to "draw" the pentagram in the air. There are various
techniques in doing so, with different starting places depending on
what element is being invoked. (Fire, Water, Wind, Earth...)
It is rarely ever used to cut things, and is usually very ornate and
intricate in design, though it doesn't have to be.

Candles are often used in magickal ceremonies and there are spells that
rely on candles. Candles have several different colors each with different
meanings. Example: pink candles are used in spells that bring love to the
caster. Selene's (and several other sites) have lists of the many properties
of each color.
