Beatles' Guitars:

On late august 1959, John and George bought new guitars, Hofner Club 40's. John's had a vertical logo, while George's had a horizontal one. John got his with Aunt Mimi's help, but George got this by trading the Hofner President. Ray Ennins of the Swinging Blue Jean got the George's original instrument, but he neither got it or remembers what happenned to it, so it's lost and whoever finds it possibly won't have a clue of what it is... John sold his Club 40 in november, 1960, and there's no info on what happenned to it after then. That's according to Andy Babiuk, because Brazilian authors Marcelo Fr—es and Ricardo Pugialli claim, on the book "Os anos da beatlemania", that John gave his Club 40 to Paul. However, Paul bought his Rosetti guitar a couple of months before John got his first Rickenbacker, so there's no reason why he should get John's Hofner. On the other hand, Paul does hold John's Club 40 on the famous september 1960 picture that shows the Beatles on a train wagon, and Klaus Voorman pictured Paul with it on the hand made drawning that comes with the Run Devil Run album, reproducing an early 60s Paul. In any case, there's no secure info on what happenned to the guitar, so we could say it's lost, as far as we know about it. As for George's Club 40, he once mentioned on a Guitar Player interview that he traded it for something. So, there are two lost Beatles Hofners Club 40 somewhere out there.
