| Right after entering the Quarry Men in early 1957, George got this beautiful guitar. He used it until, when he traded the instrument for an eletric model with a member of the Swinging Blue Jeans. The Gallotone-Zenith-Hofner President lineup is most likely the one we hear on the QuarryMen recordings avaiable on "Anthology 1" and contless bootlegs, along with John Lowe on piano and Colin Hanton on drums. After being traded, there's no indication of what happenned to the Hogner President, so it's one of the first "lost" Beatles guitar! Where might it be? |
