This CD came out right after Carl's premature death. Carl - I hope this is not news to anyone - was one of the all timegreatest rock'n'roll heroes; he wrote "Blue suede shoes" and that's all. God bless him!
The CD itself is really great. Way back then it was the first time I got the Montserrat Benefit concert appearances in CD. The rehearsal version of "Blue suede shoes" had already appeared on Oobu Joobu and is perhaps my favourite version of this song, including Elvis and Carl's original.
