Wide Praire!
Paul produced this beautiful CD for Linda. "Wide praire" is a collection of songs Linda had been working on for years. Here you'll find from early tracks to more recent ones, passing through Classics we have all been looking for, like "Seaside woman". The production is simply outstanding, package is wonderful, the music is good. Of course no one will pretend Linda was the best singer in the world, but that's not what this CD is about anyway. This is music as it should always be: funny, pleasant, touching. Paul plays almost all the instruments on the CD, and Lida's vocals give this family touch. And her songwriting talents are nice too. Linda was a great figure, an important figure in rock world, na influential ecology activist. Paul has said it all: the world is a better place because she existed. And now there's her music too. You should take part in this party. God bless Linda! CONTENTS: Wide praire - New Orleans - The white coated man - Love's full glory - The light that comes from within - Mister Sandman - Seaside woman - Oriental nightfish - Endless days - Poison ivy - Cow - B-side to seaside - Sugartime - Cook of the house - Appaloosa |
Go cat go!
Paul duets with Carl Perkins on the beautiful "My old friend". Carl wrote the song while visiting Paul in Montserrat during "Tug of war" sessions. Besides apperances by the other Beatles, there are some fasinating guest, such as Tom petty. Paul Simon, Jimi Hendrix and more. Perkins was in excelletn shape for this album, and had a huge repertoire. |

McGear
In 1974, Paul helped his brother Mike to make this album. 'Helped' is in fact na eufemism. The outstanding McGear is in fact a Wings album without Paul on lead vocals. Nine of the 11 songs are McCartney/ McGear compositions, the other two being a McCartney (What do we really know?) and a Brian Ferry (Sea breezes). Linda, Denny Laine and Jimmy McCullough have their part as supor players and backing vocalists. In addition to writing most of the songs, play and sing backing, Paul also produced the record.
