| John bought his 1958 Rickenbacker 325 (in beautiful mapleglo) during their first visit to Hamburg in 1960 and would use it until 1964, so it's perhaps the most used guitar in the Beatles history, both on albums and shows. This guitar has much history. It has been painted black and repaired, then returned to its original natural color, in the 70s. In the 70s John sent May Pang to Liverpool to bring some of his old memorabilia to the US. There she found the original Rickenbacker, which is today safely under the trustable care of Yoko. |
