I use an expression in Portuguese, “o efeito agora sim”, which I’ll roughly translate into “the ‘that’s it’ effect”. That’s exactly what I felt when I heard this remasted/remixed version. This is the one I’ve been waiting for all these years! An actual good sounding “Walls and bridges”!

It has always been, for its unique sound and arrangementes, one of my favourite John albums, but I just felt it sounded bad. While I’m not a remixing fan for principle reasons, in this case it was necessary, and we still have the original, right? I wouldn’t vote for changing the cover, and of course the bonus could be better, but apart from that I have no complains about this reissue.
