Welcome to the completely redone page formerly known as 'Riot in Republica'.
Many reasons lead me to the decision of changing the page in this extent. First of all it's a lack of time that doesn't allow me to run a "full" Republica page at the moment. I decided to rather not fail the finals in June and from July to October I'm gonna be in the army.
The other thing is a lack of motivation to run such a big page like 'Riot in Republica'. It's very hard to find a free host that offers enough webspace, and the ones that do, force you to put disturbing banners on your page, or even worse, every visitor has to deal with these annoying pop-up's.
I found a good host the other day (www.cybercities.com), but it was not much faster than the one before (www.crosswinds.net). Later I found another great one (www.internations.net) where I uploaded the complete new designed page, but now that host seems to be dead and so is 'Riot in Republica'.

So what is this page about now? Well, what I want to do is collect news about Republica and post them here. I'm not much more informed than most other Republica fans though, so I am dependent on your all's help. And that's another reason why I want to run a news page about the band. I think we Republica fans don't really stick together and that's sad. Maybe this will change a bit when we all provide each other with Republica news and information.
I have to be realistic though. There's been a Riot in Republica Mailing List for quite a while and although I've heard many interesting news there it is a very quiet mailing list. I admit completely that I haven't been very active there either, but I hope I will change as well when the whole thing starts going on.

As you can see there are still "usual" sections like a biography or a discography on this page, just to give short information about the band. There are other Republica pages where you can find all kinds of media stuff, so I no longer see sense in doing the same thing.
