I have been an active KISS fan for over 24 years, and this is the first time, EVER, that KISS announced a farewell tour. For some mysterious reason, people (most of them not big KISS fans) always tell me "Yeah right, this isn't the first time KISS said it's the farewell tour". Where? I've never heard this! I saw them in 1984 w/Bruce, in 1992 on a Dutch TVshow, 4 times in 1996 incl. Donington, in 1997 and in 1999. I personally met w/Bruce and Eric S. and shook hands w/Paul from the audience in 1992. KISS inspired me to start playing guitar and drums, form my own band, and do the best I can at the things i like. I've worn KISS t-shirts all through lawschool! I've always been quick to dismiss any bullshit criticism about KISS on the basis that these people just don't know. I hate hearing crap about simple three-cord songswriting without talent or musicianship. KISS'lead singer has the talent to be a damn opera star, what are these people talking about? I can play the guitar pretty good as I'm quite talented, but I'm nowhere near as good as Paul. Ace's stuff is easy to play except for the solos, which can only be played right by Ace. Actually, from a musicians point of view Paul is the more profound play r of the two. Bruce is more technical but doesn't have as much edge as Ace. But I love 'em all, like we all do. When I finally got to see KISS, they had cops friskin everybody before and as they walked into the concert hall from tip to toe. What really blew me away was....they even frisked "ME". Whew! They had a giant Egyptian Sphinx that he mouth opened up wide as laser lights shot across the mouth as it opened wider....then out walked KISS. It was incredible. The Group Rocked the house all night long. The chicks were ummmm....how you say..ummm.."Delightfull" all during the show. One of t e best concerts I've ever attended...ever. KISS ROCKS..! I stood aprox. 9-10ft. from Gene Simmons while standing on the concert hall floor. Gene was standing in a metal cage sorta who-dittie...flailing his incredibly long tongue out at the girls next to me. I wouldn't have missed what the girls did back to Gene for anything. Nupe. First time when I saw a KISS video, I thought that, What the fuck is this? Lets hope that this band ain´t alive today!!! That video was I Was Made For Lovi g You. Firs thing that I didn´t like was the masks, and then Gene "The Tongueman" and Paul "The Star Eye", but the sound was pretty good. About 4 months later I bought Greatest KISS cd. And The Way it goes!!! Today I have been a KISS fan for year, and I o n 23 records, and my rooms walls are full of pictures. Today I can´t get enough of KISS. Every day I spend allmost two hours by listening KISS as loud as I can. I think that Peter Criss ist the best member of KISS. I love Peter´s style to drum, hes raspy oice, and hes beautiful songs like "Beth" witch is my favourite song, and the most beatiful song I ever heard. I´ts very sad that Peter left KISS. No matter what, but the original KISS is the best. Peter´s soloalbum is pretty good. My friend told me to bu it, cause he thought that it was heavy sounded. Ace is the second best KISS member. I like hes songs, and hes guitar solos. The best of Ace is Shock Me from Alive II. It´s also very sad that Ace left KISS, but I understand hes and Peter´s feelings. Paul s the third best KISS member. Paul´s got a good voice and he can play acoustic guitar. Paul´s soloalbum is very good. Songs like Tonight You Belong To Me and Love In Chains are the best of Paul. Gene is very good bassist. Songs like 100.000 Years and Crea ures Of The Night are the best of Gene´s bass tabs. Gene´s soloalbum is prety good. Radioactive is the best of Gene. Songs like Mr. Make Beleave and See You Tonite are very good, I never thought that Gene could play acoustic guitar so well. Other KISS "me bers" are not so good. Bruce and Eric C. are not so bad, I´d say that I like them. But Mark St.John and Vinnie Vincent, Oh no!!! These guys are dorks!!! Eric Singer is nice guy. He can drum pretty well, but when he plays Detroit Rock City from Alive III, e can´t do anything as good as Peter Criss!!! I have own petnames for some of the members, and the names comes from their style to play or what do they look like. Paul is Star Eye, Gene is Tongue Man, Mark St.John is Little Boy, Erick C. is Baby and Eric inger is dumber. A little more about me and KISS. I take guitar lessons for acoustic guitar. And when it´s finnished, I´ll star playing electic guitar and then bass guitar. I´m making my own electric guitar at school, but I´m gonna get a Gibson Les Paul f r birthday gift. About KISS. My favourite album is maybe Alive! cause I like very much live songs. When I firs time listened MTV Unplugged, I loved it very much. But when I saw the video, I was dissapointed.
