"The New Music From The Andes"
Inka Kings was formed in Los Angeles, California in 1991. Brothers Miguel Angel and Severo Jaldín took upon themselves to pursue the important task of spreading their native Bolivian music in the USA.
Through the years, Inka Kings evolved and now they combine Andean (Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador), Classic and Melodic music, with rhythms from the Caribbean/Tropical region (Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue) and from other countries like Spain, (Flamenco, Rumba, etc.).
TheInstrumentsused are those of ethnic origin: "Zamponias" (pan flute), "Quenas" (recorder), "Charango" (Mandolin-like - small guitar), "Bombos" (tom-tom), etc., and contemporaneous ones (guitars, keyboards, bass, drums), to create a new and fascinating fusion of music, rhythms and styles:
