This was an interesting band, including Glenn Scott, Ted Best, Richie Beeth and Dave Heater of Deuce Coupe fronted by Bob Ganey and his wife Donna. It was strictly a corporate band, meaning the purpose was to go after plum corporate functions for high dollars. It did. The largest event we played was a gathering of over 1,000 psychologists at the San Diego Convention Center. It was always black tie. We had a very nice video produced to promote the band, loaded with special effects and creative camera angles. It was a first class show band. I wasn't at all surprised when Bob called me to ask if I could go on the road. I told him I couldn't, of course, and they hired another bass player and went without me. If this band had happened when I was 25, I would have taken Bob's offer in a flash. Great band, bad timing (grin).
