May of 1965, we added Mark Wirtz on drums and became Johnny Junk & The Juvenile Jumpers. Dave (Bud) became a front man, playing tambourine and singing lead on Kinks songs. We were also booked as The Gaitors a couple of times, a name we finally adopted a few months later. Our claim to fame was our costumes, which consisted of white jeans, black turtle-neck sweaters, Beatle boots and red & white Pepridge Farm vests and beanie caps that I got for free from a food distributor whose offices I cleaned at night working for Ideal Janitor Services. The recording continued. This lineup lasted about 2 months, just long enough to play a few grade school dances and house parties.
