Released - 3rd May 1999
U.K. Chart Position - No. 42
Reviews - Kerrang! #748 - KKKK - ''Tequila' turned into something of an enfant terrible for Terrorvision. Despite being their biggest hit to date and getting them on 'Noel's House Party', a large proportion of their die-hard fans were disgusted by the Bradford boys' 'selling out' and releasing a dance remix to appease a whining breakfast DJ. 'III Wishes' is unlikely to cause such uproar as it sees the lovable quartet reverting to the simple formula that built up their fanbase in the first place. So we get a no-frills rock song with the usual Tony Wright slightly-nuts-but-easy-to-join-in-with vocals, and the world is once again a happy place. Expect mid-chart respectability.'

NME slagged it off, so I can't be bothered to type it up here, or recommend that vile publication.

The release of 'III Wishes' as the third and final single from 'Shaving Peaches' came as something of a surprise to the TV fanbase, who were still expecting 'Day After Day' to be released after it was postponed by the rush decision to bring out Mint Royale's remix of 'Tequila' as a single instead. We had even been led to believe that 'Can't Get You Out Of My Mind' might have been a single, and of course, 'Babyface' was still a strong contender (over thirty people signed Glycerine's petition to get it released instead of 'Day After Day'). But despite not being an obvious choice for a single, 'III Wishes' was still a popular song amongst the fans (especially as Tony plays acoustic guitar when they perform it live), and it did give us the chance to pick up TV's cover of David Bowie's 'Moonage Daydream', previously only available on a rare EMI compilation album in aid of Tibet. 'III Wishes' was also the final single to be released by Terrorvision under EMI, although the split from their major record label was apparently already on the cards even before this song's disappointing chart entry at No. 42.

'III Wishes' is taken from the album 'Shaving Peaches'.
