Chapter Eleven

Gillian grew concerned "Problem" she repeated softly

Ryan nodded "Afraid so"

Gillian threw her hands up "Oh God you don't want to marry me anymore do you?" she buried her head in her hands "I just knew it. You decided you hate me and that you could never spend the rest of your life with me"

Ryan grabbed Gillian laughing "Hey slow down there Princess!"

Gillian stopped and looked at Ryan "I never said I didn't want to marry you" he said

"Then what's the problem?" she asked curious but relieved

Ryan pulled a small box from his pocket "The problem is that you don't have a ring. You see I wasn't going to propose to you the other day at the hosptial. I was planning on doing it when we went out, ya know the Valley Inn, but our plans sort of got sidetracked"

Gillian nodded "Yeah kinda"

"I was going to wait for awhile." Ryan continued "I though maybe God or whoever was trying to tell me it wasn't time to get married, but then I saw you at the hosptial with your grandma and I couldn't help myself. I just knew that I needed you to be my wife. I wanted you in my life forever."

"Spontanity is very sexy" Gillian said smiling and giving Ryan a huge hug "I admit though, I was very suprised. I was expecting us to take things slowly like you said when we agreed to start over. And let's just say being proposed to in a hosptial wasn't what I had in mind"

Ryan laughed "Yeah me neither. But hey at least you weren't about to marry someone when I proposed."

Gillian smiled "Now that was definetly a suprise" she said flashing back to their first wedding when Ryan burst into the chapel.

"But this time it's going to be better" Ryan said as he opened the small velvet box revealing a gold band with one big dimaond centered between two smaller ones. Gillian clasped her hands over her mouth "Oh Ryan it's beautiful"

Ryan gently grabbed Gillian's left hand and slid the ring on her hand "There this one is real. I promise" he said laughing thinking about how Liza had given him a fake ring to use for Gillian's wedding ring.

Gillian whiped a tear from her face "I believe you. I'll never take it off ever." Ryan gently brought Gillian into his arms and kissed her head after he moment he broke away "Look I gotta run but I'll see ya later?"

Gillian nodded "Definetly"

(Weeks later)

Gillian and Raquel were at a bridal shop trying on Bride's dresses. They had probably tried on every dress in the store before deciding on a traditional white satin gown. "Gillian you look beautiful" Raquel said as the two stood in a mirror admiring the dress "It is lovely isn't it?" Gillian said turing to each side "Yeah I think this is perfect."

The two nodded in agreement as the stood in the mirror smiling.

(The week of the wedding)

Gillian was back at Wildwind getting ready for the rehearsal dinner and decided to check on Grandmama. She headed down the hall when she heard Ryan's voice. She smiled in spite of herself. She stood right outside her grandma's door as she listened to the two of them talk.

"How do I know she's the one?" Ryan asked Eugeina

Gillian face wrinkled as she continued to listen "What do you mean Ryan?" Eugenia asked

"I mean how do I know she and I suppose to be together? What if I'm rushing into this? What if I'm not ready? What if we are ready to say our I do's but I can't say mine?" Ryan said rambling off a list of questions. Gillian began to sob silently as she clasped her hand over her mouth and ran back to her bedroom. She callopsed onto her bed and sob openly "How could you do this Ryan? How?" she said between sobs.
