Rebecca (Becca) Fisher is the epitome of what teenagers can accomplish if they put their minds to it. She utilizes such a broad spectrum of the teenage psyche that she becomes, in my opinion, the most defined character in the show. She has been a ballerina, a cheerleader (both in the same episode even!), a top speech-writer, a selfish sister, a best friend, a perfect daughter, a not-so-perfect daughter, a not-so-perfect host, a stick-girl (beg to differ), and a hopeless romantic (Zach Anderson, Gooch, Rob Wetzel, and even Scott the "sub-human"). Not every decision she ever makes is correct, however she learns from her mistakes, and always tries to make better the next time. Also she professes to “I just got to be me.” This is a perfect quotation for her, because like I said, she is the most defined character, she always finishes things (and sometimes starts things) on her terms, not letting outside opinion influence her. One last quote from her that only shows her greatness as a character, this is from the first episode, “I don’t want to write to the editor, I want to BE the editor.” If only all teens had this motivation. We probably wouldn't be labeled as much. I salute you Becca Fisher.
