Miles character in my opinion has a lot
more role flexibility than Christine as a secondary-principle
character. He was given the computer talent and that has helped
him have two episodes where he could really be the main character
and show some skill (Loveletters, Crime & Punishment).
He plays that kid who spends the night at your house and when
your mom tells you to be quiet and you dont, he will. He
always keeps Tucker in check, or covers for him (Mud Pack). He is
a good friend to Tucker, and Tucker to him. What I dont get
is that like every character has had some kind of love interest
episode where the person was a tangible being. The closest
hes ever gotten was Abbie Lee Cooper(s), but at least he
was nice enough to sing the duet with her in "Funny Like
Me." In the "Love Letters" episode it looked like
something might happen, but it turned out just to be a plot that
him and Christine were involved in to get back at Becca and
Tucker for what they did to Miles earlier in the show involving
the emails. Overall however, I think Miles fits in nicely with
this cast, and he kind of identifies with the whole
"internet kid" genre. I'm glad Flash Forward
picked up on this. It added a lot more realism and
contemporariness to the show. I give an "Apeward Bound"
salute to Miles!
