Many thanks to Paul Zaloom for keeping us in the loop with his tour dates! Make sure to catch his show if it is coming to a neighborhood near you! You won't be disappointed!
Ben and Jerry's factory tour video (written and performed by Paul Zaloom) premiered August 1, 2001, at the Ben and Jerry’s plant in Waterbury, VT.
"In Smog and Thunder: The Great War of the Californias", it's a 47 minute fake documentary based on paintings, drawings, and prints that depict a fictional war between San Francisco and Los Angeles - cowritten, narrated and directed/produced by Paul Zaloom. Larded with political and social satire as well as wicked jokes, goofy special effects, and lavish music, it has been accepted to the Palm Springs "Festival of Festivals" and Slamdance, among others. (The recent California World Series, Angels V. Giants/Smog V. Fog, was an ironic life-imitating-art coincidence).
Velvetville is available for purchase on VHS through Alive and Kicking. Browse through the catalog for ordering information
You can also check out a teachers guide (requires Adobe Acrobat to view) created to compliment the whole Beakman LIVE! experience!
Much thanks to Richard Amirault! While he was watching the Beakman Live! show, he took some pictures and has given me permission to post them here. Thank you! Thank you!

So, not sure whether to trust the advice of professionals? Check out the pictures that I took on my visit to the Beakman's World Tour up in New York. It was fabulous. But don't take my word for it. A picture is worth a thousand words!
