Brian, Bryan, and sometimes Brain
The other day it dawned on me how many Brians there were in my life. Let me clarify that. There are a lot of Brians in my life that I like. Some I know personally, some share my blood, and some are just familiar to me through various mediums like radio or TV. This is my tribute to all those cool Brians and Bryans who are a part of my world.
Brian Unger pic Brian Unger Brian Unger, a correspondent for Comedy Central's The Daily Show is one example of a really cool Brian. Unger, a self-proclaimed surf rat, left serious journalism in order to take a more light hearted approach to the world around him. He started off his career in college as an intern for Late Night with David Letterman and eventually went on to be a producer for Eye to Eye with Connie Chung and the short-lived Day and Date (remember that show with Dana King? No? OK, sorry). In his latest position, Unger has reported on such important issues as Doggie Diapers, lip balm addiction, and the side effects of Olestra chips. He is currently waiting for that imminent Emmy. If you want to see more images of Brian (and why wouldn't you?), go to Quinn's wonderful Ungerholics page and drink it all in. It's fabulous. She is truly an Ungerholic goddess.

Brian Regan pic Brian Regan Another example of a really cool Brian is comedian Brian Regan. It's hard to believe this guy was in college playing football when he decided to become a comedian. Regan is a very popular, award-winning comic who wins over audiences with his stories of life and growing up. His Showtime special, Something's Wrong With the Regan Boy, did extrememly well and can often be seen on Comedy Central. At least, that's what the whales are saying. (Note: That was a reference to one of his comedy bits)

Bryan White pic Bryan White Bryan White is one of country music's hottest stars. One thing that's very appealing about Bryan is how universal his music is. Even people who really don't like country music (um, that would be me) can appreciate his soulful ballads. White has had four very successful albums, Bryan White, Between Now and Forever, The Right Place, and How Lucky I Am. He also won CMA's Horizon Award two years in a row. Plus, if I may say so myself, he puts on an awesome concert. The boy rocks!

He is really very talented. He is a great singer and a terrific actor. He's also not too shabby on the guitar. If you ask him really nicely, he'll probably play "The Fat Woman Blues" for you. Plus, if you go to a Styx concert with him, you can jump up and dance with him at the end, which is really fun. It also doesn't hurt that he got me a really great deal on my beloved car. (Note to all: Get a Plymouth Neon)

picture not availableBrian Davis Blood is thicker than water. That's why I couldn't do a page about Brians without saying something about my cousin, Brian Davis. Truth be told, we're not really close and I really don't know a heck of a lot about him, but I'm sure he's as great as all these other Brians. Besides, when I was a baby and he was about two, we got along really great. I even have the pictures to prove it. I do know he has a nice girlfriend, though, so that should count for something.

picture not availableBrian ? I don't know his last nime, but this really cool guy named Brian was my waiter at Pargo's the other night. I know it seems really odd for me to put someone I don't know on my webpage. That's because it is. But, he was a really great waiter, and I have a lot of extra space, so I figured "what the heck".

Pic not available Bryan Pitchford I'm not sure why it took so long for me to add Bryan to this esteemed (snicker, snicker)page. I know, I'm actually better friends with his brother, but Bryan is by no means the leftover brother. He's very cool and, might I add, a pretty snazzy dresser. Plus, he's really funny, which is the most important thing of all.
