Season Finale

Thlayli: Never thought I’d write another ‘Mallard Place’ story. But, we just deliver what the public wants!
Timon: The public hated ‘Mallard Place’.
Thlayli: I know but I’ve got a really dumb, nonsensical idea I want to turn into a story!
Timon: **to readers** There’s still time! Escape while you can!

Gosalyn did the Macarena as she danced herself across the floor. It was the annual DDD (Disney Ducks Dance) and she was finally old enough to attend. She looked through the crowd for anyone who looked like they’d be good for an interesting conversation.
There were quite a few new ducks, since Disney had created a few more, and Gosalyn was interested to see the different coloured feathers of a few of them. The one with the patch over his eyes frowned as she stared at him, and she moved on.

Drake swallowed punch like it was going out of fashion, and glared at Fenton, who was dancing with Morgana.
"Lousy lisping lizard…" he muttered to himself. "Well, I don’t need Morg for a good time! Who else is there?"
He glanced over the crowd, and almost had a heart attack when he laid eyes on a tall, slim red head who wasn’t Gosalyn, though they looked similar. "Mallory?!"

Mallory looked up from her conversation with Wildwing and caught Drake’s gaze.
And chocked so hard on her nibbley that Grin had to whack her on the back.
"Thank you." she coughed/squawked. Grin nodded.
"What’s the matter?" Tanya asked.
Mallory pointed a finger at Drake, who was coming over, not looking very happy. "I know him."
"So?"
Mallory walked over to the approaching duck, meeting him half way.

Drake looked up. "You’ve grown." he commented.
"You haven’t." she shot back.
They stood in uncomfortable silence for a minute.
"What happened to the baby?" Drake asked after awhile.
"Fostered."
"Sex?"
"Girl. Called Gosalyn."
Drake took a double take. "Huh?"
"I called her Gosalyn."
Drake backed away to sit in a chair. "You’ll never believe this." he told her.

"Gos? Gos?" Launchpad looked for the girl. "Drake wants ya."
Gosalyn scowled, in the middle of a game with the triplets. "Now?" she whined.
"Yeah, now. He looks pretty serious."
Gosalyn sighed, and stomped over to her father.
"What?"
Drake exchanged glances with Mallory. "I have something to tell you."
"We. We have something to tell her." Mallory corrected.
"Whatever. Take a seat Gos."
Gosalyn, mystified, did so.
Drake fiddled with his fingers. "I may as well say it straight out. It turns out I’m your real father."
Gosalyn stared, not saying a word.
"And…uh…this is your mother."
Gosalyn’s eyes shifted to Mallory.
"Explain."
"It was before I got into," Mallory made quotation marks with her hands. "Show business. I was sorta working the streets, and Drake came along, and…"
"My mother is a prostitute and my dad is her customer?" Gosalyn asked incredulously.
"Well…yeah…" Drake agreed, albeit nervously.
"So I gave you to my aunt’s sister’s cousin’s family to look after, and they never said what happened to you." Mallory finished. "I was only 15 at the time, you see."
Gosalyn looked from one to the other with growing disgust in her eyes. "You’re both appalling, and I never want to see you again, EVER! I’m moving in with Launchpad!" she screamed.
"Gosalyn, Launchpad lives with us already." Drake pointed out with mounting fear.
"Then I’ll move in with Honker, and I’ll make YOU move away!" she yelled. She jumped off her seat and raced to Launchpad. Through her tears she told the tale to Launchpad, who immediately picked her up and left, Honker close behind.
Drake turned to yell at Mallory, when he say that she wasn’t there. She’d walked back to the table for the Mighty Duck actors. He stalked over there. "Aren’t you even going to go after her?!" he cried.
Mallory looked a little confused. "I’d make an awful mother you know."
Drake gaped. "She’s your daughter!!"
"No, she’s *your* daughter." Mallory again corrected him. "You go after her. I don’t want anything to do with her. It was your idea to tell her, and you’re the one she knows, so it’s your job to clean up."
Drake skewered her with a look, and she sighed. "Drake, you want her back, right?" Drake nodded. "You don’t want me, and I don’t want you. Why don’t you go make me out to be the monster, hmm?"
Drake glared at her. "I’m beginning to think you might be a monster."

"Gos, honey." Drake tried to talk to her in the living room of his house. "I love you. Does the fact that we’re blood related turn you away from me?!"
"It’s not that! You never wanted me as a baby!"
Drake took a deep breath and lied his beak off. "I didn’t even know you existed till tonight! Gosalyn, wouldn’t care if you were Negaduck and Morgana’s kid! I love you, not your parents! I suppose I should have found out sooner, but do we have to let this come between us?"
Gosalyn stared up at him. "I guess not." she whispered.
"That’s my girl!" Drake hugged her tightly, and hoped, he’d never have to face Mallory again.

Timon: Though knowing Thlayli, they’ll probably end up long lost twins or something.
Thlayli: That’s a good idea!
Timon: Oy vey….
