The Soca Islands photo gallery represents Trinidad & Tobago the way I remember the place - most of these photos were taken years ago already in 1989 - 90. A lot of you have written in, asking for updates, more pictures, pictures of this & that, more recent shots, etc. etc. Weell, fact is that now, after so many years, I have a few new shots to add! I was in T&T in the year 2000, first time in TEN YEARS. Trust me, I look forward to going back for a visit again - and this time I won't let 10 years pass in between! I am now for the first time since 1998 starting to do some updates in these pages - hopefully soon you will see some changes. For the longest time, I was unable to administer these pages as Yahoo got geocities, and then they came up with this policy of "Age Verification" - based on this they demanded me to provide them with a valid credit card number as proof that I'm an adult - duh!!! Since this was the only way I could continue to administer my own site otherwise, I finally gave in to this blackmail..! The old guestbook is no longer functioning sadly, but you can view its contents HERE. Now I have been receiving emails from Yahoo, saying that my site is "too popular" - i.e. they would like me to start paying for the bandwidth, or they may delete the whole site. Quite frankly I have been somewhat fed up with them. Anyways, lets see what future brings! |
Although not a major tourist destination in the Caribbean, T&T, as it's affectionately known by many has a lot to offer - Unspoilt nature, great beaches, natural wonders like the world's largest pitch lake and of course as the name of this page implies, a lot of GREAT music to rock your bones!!! Trinidad & Tobago is the home of the Steel Pan, Calypso, Parang, Chutney-Soca and Limbo dancing...and each year celebrates the World's Greatest Festival - the Trinidad & Tobago Carnival!
