Greetings Yumi, I think your page style is nice and was told to visit because the love of the Environment is a strong bond for all peoples, I have set up a link to your site and suggest that you may want to return the visit. At the moment the file manager server is slow so it may be set up in 24 hours because geocities has 1.2 million clients now. My page is for frog lovers and environmental pursuits at http://geocities.com/rainforest/vines/4641/index.html
I haven't explored all your site and you may want to link back to mine. Merry Christmas and a Happy New year 1998 ...Cheerio ..Ribbett...Ribbett

P.S. You might like to see this rare and endangered species of Green and Gold Bell Frog, it's current habitat is the Quarry site on the Homebush Olympics 2000 Sydney site. It's better to see it this way than to spoil its home by going there. We all hope that this frog survives the development. Bye.
My reply: Soon I will try to put your frog on this page.

Comments: Hi Yumi, I think your page is very nice, it has the still moonlit waters of the reedy bays around old Homebush Bay feel about it. The frogs on my site don't wear clothes either and I hope that you can visit some day soon. English is my native tongue so you can practice all you like. Catch Ya Ribbet
My reply: Sorry, not Homebush, place more close to city.

Comments: Thanks for putting a map on your pages BUT the map covers a big area (including the whole city) could you be more specific about how to get to these places.

My reply: Other people ask same question. Maybe I explain later.

Comments: I was married to a Japanese girl who became homesick and moved back to Japan. You look like her! Thanks!

Thinking about 2 boys, Yumi very sorry. Sorry boys sad I not reply so boys talk I copy here ....
Well, it's a lot of trouble for you, but I would certainly appreciate it.
I'm trying my best to pull my Kendo up. That "Amazoness" who was here,
Kikuyo Kawasaki, actually gave me a number of extremely helpful hints about areas where my Kendo is fine for 4-dan, but is simply NOT 5-dan level Kendo. The things she showed me are very beautiful, for example about knowing your maai, and nothing you can artificially fake or pretend you have... BUT it's very helpful to know the direction in which you need to go.
I would love to see those elders you talked about in the 8-dan shinsa.
> The name of Yumi Iwai sounds familiar to me. She must be a famous model or TV talent in Japan.
Oh, I hadn't realized she was so famous.... but I'm not surprised!
She has a really good sense of humor, and refreshing spirit of fun, I can certainly tell that much! I really like that.
> However, I notice that she didn't reply to your comments, while she replied to most of other's comments.
[sigh...] Yes, I noticed that, too...
> I am afraid this was because you sent her our photo.
Oh, but you know, I didn't send her that photo! First of all she added that link to my home page ("Other indoor sport~") and then she went by herself and "grabbed" our photo from my page, and exported it to her own guestbook! She didn't even ask me or tell... she just did it! I was so delighted when I saw it there.
In other words, SHE loves our photo, too... enough to go to the trouble of getting it by herself, and adding it to her own guestbook by herself!
Naw, she LOVES us, Takashi!
> I like that photo very much, which shows two handsome kenshi's friendships cultivated through keiko. But, Yumi might have thought that one guy looked generous, but was too old for her, and the other was just a typical Japanese middle-aged poor ooking guy.
On the contrary...! I'm sure she thinks we're both awfully cute! I'm positive of that, Takashi!
> The photo might not be attractive enough to catch her attention. Well, who can know?
I think she's VERY proud to have our picture on her page, just as we are proud to have her link on ours!
She's a pretty classy kenshi herself, isn't she?
Yeah... she's great!
And I wouldn't be surprised if she showed up in Seattle some day... I think she knows it's a sincere invitation.
> Tomorrow (a national holiday, Culture Day) I will go to see the All Japan Kendo Championship Tournament at Budo-kan.
Wow!! Fantastic!! Oh, boy, I wish I could join you there...!
> I hope I can get something from them. I will report the results of the tournament.
Well, I'll certainly look forward to your report!
Take care, Takashi, and talk with you soon. Tom

Comments: I just looking at your homepage when I received your e-mail. My page, BBS for photographer and model, is designated for all things about photograph. Please write something about your homepage on the board. Can you read Japanese on my homepage on your computer? Boowy.
My reply: Yes I will see your BBS and write, maybe. Computer in Australia not like Japanese, except 'fax' image of handwriting scan. Better only engrish or romanji so everyone can read, i think.

Comments: Yumi, I hope you are enjoying the KENYU which I am sending you every month. Where are you practicing Kendo? Who's your sensei? I hope you can come to Seattle someday... it's a cool place with plenty of beaches, snowy mountains, lakes. People here love to sail, swim, ski, and hike in beautiful green forests. I think you'd like it. And of course there are many Kendo Dojo.... LOTS! We'd love to have you come here.... homestay is no problem. I love your wonderful page, Yumi. See you, and take care. Tom
My reply: Sorry late reply, but maybe ok fix above?

Yumi,

What are you doing living in Australia??

I'm in New York. Just moved here from Hawaii. Going to Syracuse University. For a school project I wanted to take a photo of a kendo person, and I stumbled on your page...

Before, I lived in Yokohama as a photojournalist for seven years. Nihongo wakarimasu.

Will you fly here so I can take my kendo photo?? (just kidding).

Bye,
Robert

My reply: Thanks, Aussie bushwalk boys in bush fun like photo here (is that you?) :-) but same boys internet page boring ;-(( , so i try show them how.
