Our Mission Statement
"Pirate Divers was started three years ago to fill a void in the recreational scuba market.  It seemed to the founders that the scuba industry was becoming too oriented in achiving financial rewards and moving  away from  the idea of turning out really good and competent recreational divers.  We decided to bring back the excitment and shear enjoyment of scuba diving without students feeling like they were being nickeled and dimed along the way. Thus the decision was made to start a business that emphasized on teaching people  how to dive safely and efficiently rather than selling a couple thousand dollars worth of equipment to them.  As a matter of fact right now we don't even sell equipment so you don't have to worry about your instructor encouraging you to make a purchase but if you do, and many students will, we help you by making the proper selection of equipment and letting you know where you will most likely find the best deal and service for that equipment.  All too often we have seen people diving who just don't seem to know what they are doing.  Some in the dive industry blame one training agency or another but the simple fact is if your instructor is competent and follows the guidelines as set forth by the training agency they represent you will learn how to dive safely and competently."
