This day could be included or an optional tour.
We descend to the Dead Sea (lowest place in the world). We stop at Qumran, where the famous Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Then it is on to Massada, the Herod's Palace, Storerooms, Cisterns, the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots during the revolt against the Romans. Time permitting, enjoy the hot springs at En-Gedi and float on the Dead Sea water.
Optional: Return to Jerusalem or drive southward to the resort city of Eilat, or visit Petra In Jordan.
