The Canal's Unofficial Disney
World Information Center

Walk Around The World/ Living Legacy

This stone is our Walk Around The World gift to ourselves. It is reasonably priced at $100.00 plus tax and it lasts for 10 years before you either pay again or the stone is replaced with someone else's. There are many of these as Disney wants to put them all around the lake. Ours is located at the transportation center near the ferry that takes you to the Magic Kingdom. My children sure did enjoy looking for ours. Disney has a station outside the Magic Kingdom that will give you a map and number of your stone. The numbers are  in order and it took us only about 1 minute to find ours.  If you are interested you should call Disney World and  ask them for the form for Walk Around The World. After you send it in Disney World will send you 2 certificates (very cute) with the exact information that you had written on your stone and signed by Roy Disney (Walt's brother and partner).  As we have 2 children this worked out nicely for us. We framed the certificates and they each have one in their rooms.  I hope to have this stone for many years to come and maybe our children will continue on with it. Disney World is a fun place for our family so this was definently worth the price.

Disney's Walk Around The World

Disney's Epcot Living Legacy

Well I guess if you get  one whats the big deal with getting another. While we were at Epcot this year we went to America in the World Showcase and talked to a representative about the photo pictures. The cost is $35.00 for 1 person in the photo or $38.00 for 2 people. Maximum 2 people per  photo. This 1 square inch photo is etched on a metal plate and attached to one of the hugh marble rocks at the entrance to Disney's Epcot Theme Park.  You will see that these marble rocks are extremely large but we were told that all pictures are displayed no higher that 6 feet high. These pictures will remain in Epcot for 20 years. The representative told me that he doesn't think Disney World will ever get rid of this beautiful display. After your picture is taken it is put up within 7 to 10 days. Disney World also will send you a picture of your picture and a special card which allows you to go on line and see your picture. Of course your given a password. It's worth it.
