------------This is the 11th cd that Esham has released and is the first in which he starts to expand his style. This cd contains 23 tracks (even thought the back says 20). The first thing I noticed when listening to this cd is that is different from his last offering, Closed Casket. The beats aren't are as hard or is the subject matter. But that isn't a bad thing, in fact some ways its better, it just depends on what you are expecting. If you are expecting Closed Casket then you will be disappointed but if you are looking for some more dope Esham tracks then you are in luck.
___This cd has a variety of songs. It contains the usually Esham "acid rap" songs but also has songs about girls, money, and some dance type of songs. All through the cd Esham keeps his lyrics tight like always. The beats are also good. They are more mellow then his other offerings. Songs like "You Better Ask Somebody," "One Day","Trick With Me" have very different beats considering Esham's past cds. In fact he is successful in blending his old acid rap style with laid back tracks. This cd contains many tight songs. "You Better Ask Somebody" combines a dance type of beat and awesome lyrics to create a great track that you never thought Esham would make. On "One Day" Esham gets a little sentimental talking about his troubles growing up and the pain he caused his Mom. Its a great track with excellent lyrics and a different beat. On "Because" Esham talks about how his girlfriend set him up and how he gets revenge. Esham shows his ability to tell a story and not just that murder shit on this track. But there is also your typical acid rap tracks. Track 20 (doesn't have a title) and "Silicone" show that Esham hasn't abandoned his old style of acid rap. This two tracks are not only two of the best on the cd but are two of Esham's best ever.
___This is one of Esham's best cds. I has such a great variety of subject material on here and shows that Esham isn't only about killing and suicide but can also rap about other subjects. All the songs on this cd are banging. Not one track on here is bad. I am really impressed by how good this cd is. Esham has created a cd that not only will please his fans but also attract new fans who may not like gangsta rap. Esham has always come correct but on this cd he has finally show just how diverse he is. This is a great cd and one not to pass up. You must get your hands on this cd no matter what.
