------------Life After Death: Biggie Smalls' cd sucked his fat ass; Natas' cd is awesome. This is the first cd that Natas came out with and it is obvious just by listening that, even though they all sound kind of young, they have a great cd here and their potential was unimaginable. Released in 1992, right after the time of "Judgment Day", this is where it all started for Natas, especially for the other members of Natas besides Esham, TnT and Mastamind.
___"Life After Death" starts out with a song by the same title. The mood is then set for a few other songs on the cd with the same kind of subject matter. This is that life is not really important and therefore it is important to do whatever the hell you want. It is also asks the question that if there is life after death, is inevitable and so anything here in this life is benign. I know thats a little too deep to go with a cd or song, but that's how I view it. Anyway, the rest of the cd has songs either about this, bitches, or Natas' enemies and how their gonna fuck 'em up. The whole cd has pretty good music and the lyrics remain relatively tight throughout. Some songs not worth bothering with too much are "Did it Like That", "Bitch U Can't Have Me", and "Toss Up". Luckily some tracks are well over the standard of what is awesome. These include "Life After Death", "Mysterious Ways", "Rock It Deadly", and "Who Am I". The third of these songs has a sound like that of the cd later released, "Multikillionaire" and the style of "Dead Flowerz". Personally, "Mysterious Ways" is the best pick out of this cd.
___Despite some of the questionable songs and the somewhat young sound, it is a pretty good cd overall. It is 75 minutes long (the maximum time a cd can hold) so you know you are getting your money's worth. "Life After Death" lays down the tracks that Natas will follow for the rest of their career (up to now), being as hard as cds could be back in '92. It used to be kind of rare, but now released on TvT, it will be re-released soon and should be available anywhere. This is quintessential Natas and is a cd that should not be passed up if you are a slight to hardcore Esham/Natas fan.
