------------This is a group out of California. There are 10 members in the group: hurrikaine j, young droop, mickey d, negative 1, sir dyno, drew, big vic, a.l.g., never, and lil wyno. Most of them are from Merced, I think, but not all of them. This guys are part of the Darkroom Familia which is a huge bunch of rappers and producers who are putting it down for the west coast. Not only does the Darkroom Familia make music but they also have made a few movies. This cd is the best that I have heard from Darkroom.
___Most of the beats are made by Never, and all of them are on fire. This is some shit to ride too. I really can feel all his tracks. He is also a tight rapper. All the rappers in Lowdown are tight but my personal favorites are Never, Young Droop, and Hurrikaine J. This cd has a great variety since each track has around 4 or 5 different people rapping. Every track is some hardcore gangsta shit. Nothing weak on this cd, all hard tracks. The cd has 14 tracks in all. I'm feeling all of them. They are all good but my favorites are tracks 1-6, and 9-11. I was surprised on how good this cd was. I wasn't expecting this to be one of the best cds of have heard in a long time. There isn't anything but tight songs on this cd. In my mind, one of the best of 1999, if not the best. Lowdown is one of the tightest groups coming out of the west coast and are representing the west coast to the fullest. Definitely pick this one up.
