------------Released in 1996, this is the second cd from the group known as the Dayton Family. This is definately a tight cd. In fact I am pretty sure it went gold which is very good considering Dayton Family is not mainstream rap. You don’t see much under ground go gold but Dayton Family did it. And you can see why because this cd is tight as hell.
___This cd starts out from where the old one left off. It combines rapping from both Bootleg and Shoestring and nice beats. But unlike the first cd, "Whats On My Mind?", all the beats on this one are off the hook. The production on this one is much better and it shows as this is a very enjoyable cd to listen to. I don’t even have to say anything about the lyrics because you already know they are great.
___I can’t really say there are any bad tracks on here. Aside from “Ghetto” I don’t think there is much to complain about. Just about every song is banging, you can’t say that about every cd. And its all gangsta shit. There are only two tracks I can think off that aren’t hard and one of them, “What’s On My Mind II”, is the best song on the whole cd. This isn’t the normal type of song you what want to hear from the Dayton Family as it talks about the struggles of life, but with slow but awesome beat and good lyrics you can’t do nothing but like it. Some other great songs are “Hand That Rocks The Cradle”, “Blood Bath”, and “Stick & Move”(also on the Down South Hustlers cd). Dayton Family also does a song with Esham and you know that song is good as there is no way Esham and the Dayton Family together would make a weak track.
___This cd is a real improvement over the first Dayton Family cd. Everything is just that much better. I think this is the best thing Dayton Family has ever done, whether it be as a group or solo cds. So for all you fans of gangsta rap go out and pick this up because its a classic.
