-------------The column I wrote yesterday was last night very late at night and i forgot to mention (even though Bruce Wayne might have already) that the Esham/Natas gear we ordered finally came in about 2 weeks ago. The shirts and hats are sweet and the logos on them are cool looking, that is to say they aren't cheap quality. The prices weren't that bad, considering there is no other way (except at concerts) of getting these rare items. The only 2 faults I could find with ordering from them was that they took a little longer than I would have wanted them to and also that they fucked up the order a little bit. They said, however, that all we had to do was put the merchandise we wanted to exchange in a box and send it to them with a letter of what it was we wanted to change.
Yeah.
Also, an easter egg portion of the site will be set up at some points with pictures of Bruce Wayne and me with our crew, some of us sporting the shirts and hats. Look for that and try to find it, if you can.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to mention about that and here is the picture that came on the box...(the UPS man must have been like "what the fuck?")

-------------Well, well, well...Finally we start getting some recognition. The search engines are picking us up, new people are coming in. I personally think that the search engines could have picked us up before, but too soon would have been somewhat of a defeat of the purpose, as not enough reviews or content to support an audience would have been available. Despite the wait, the site is now humming along at full speed. So all I have to do is to thank the engines and the people that come in.

The announcement you all undoubtedly came in for...

In my looking around the internet for a way to make this site better, I stumbled into some broadcasting software. We will soon post up times at which everyone will be able to tune in to the broadcast of Boomin' Words From Portsmouth's own internet music broadcast. Just download any mp3 player(Real Player is one and there are many others) and you will be able to hear Bruce Wayne and myself DJ'ing songs off of cds reviewed right here. We will get something organized very soon and the times and dates will be posted on the main page. Look for that in the very near future, like in a week or two. More to come about this.
Apart from the radio venture, you may be noticing a lot more material on the reviews side. Lagging sections are getting revamped and thanks to my scanner working again, pictures will be posted for all those reviews that don't have 'em, along with all new ones from now on.
Well thats enough from me, here comes my usual list of the 5 songs I've been hearing lately. Check back soon, later...
  • 1. "How do I plead to homocide?" (Judgement Day, Vol. 1)...Esham
  • 2. "Fuck the World" (Doyoubelievengod)...Natas
  • 3. "[Lightyears]" (Mail Dominace)...Esham
  • 4. "Misanthropy" (The Unforgiven Vol. 1)...X-Raided
  • 5. "Marijuana Dreams" (Penitentiary Chances)...DRF

-------------Since the last time I wrote one of these I picked up a few more cds. The new cds I have got are Esham “Helterskkkelter”, Blood and Tears Soundtrack,Mac Dre “Rapper Gone Bad”, Twista “Adrenaline Rush” and a few others that I forgot. Also some more reviews should be added really soon since the reviews section hasn’t been updated in a long time.
Finally the shirts ordered from the Esham and Natas catalog have arrived. It took over a month and they fucked up the order but at least they arrived. In other Esham news, its been reported that he is going on tour with ICP. Even though I think ICP sucks if the tour comes around Rhode Island you can bet I’ll be there. As soon as I get the tour dates I’ll post them up. All you Esham fans should have picked up the new “Bootleg’s” by now. I thought it was a good cd, but it was a little disappointing considering that it was supposed to be all new tracks. The review should be up real soon. I have almost collected all Esham and Natas cds as I only have to get “Erotic Poetry”, “Homey Don’t Play”, and that Mastamind ep. By the summer I should have collected all of the Esham and Natas cds.
In site news, we are now on some more search engines. I hope soon we will finally get some more hits, at the moment we are getting less than one hit a day. That isn’t very good but I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.
I still haven’t been able to find that new X-Raided anywhere. I have been lookingaround everywhere and still no sign of it. I must just have to order it online. I also want to pick up that Playboy 7 cd,, the P-Folks cd, and some older Darkroom Familia cds. Talking about Darkroom, their new soundtrack “Blood and Tears” is awesome. It has over 2 hours of music and 30 tracks. If you see that pick it up as its under $20 and it’s a double cd.
I also want that new Brotha Lynch Hung cd “Head Drama”. Its not really a BrothaLynch Hung cd but a compilation. Unfortunately I heard its fucked up as the track listing is messed up and some songs are incomplete and end in the middle of a verse. Brotha Lynch Hung himself even said it that it is messed up. I’ll still pick it up even if it is fucked up. Also the Brotha Lynch Hung and X-Raided cd looks like it isn’t going to happen but he may be hooking up with Doomsday and that will be awesome if it happens.
By the time you read this some more reviews should be up. I’ll try to start updating more often and the hits might start coming in soon. Serr Dyno should also start doing some more as he has nothing better to do now that he lives in Newport. So look out as some more shit should be coming soon and we should start scanning the cd covers again as the scanner works now.

-------------Here I am again, just updating the shit during spanish class. This joker we have for a sub actually thinks that we will do all this nonsensical work the teacher left us. Since no one is doing it, why should I? She won't collect it and I'll still get an A since i know more than her anyway... Well enough about that, on to some news and updates, I guess...
Seems like Bruce Wayne just isn't caring about this part of Boomin' at this point. He'll probably do another one of these eventually, but for now its just me. Probably because there has been a lot of shit going down lately. Maybe if he didn't have to spend all his time with that that hideous, stupid Mongolian he calls his girlfriend, he could get a column or a few reviews done once in a while. Anyway, we should be changing the format in a few weeks, if enough people come in by that time.
A nice flow of traffic should be circulating soon enough, as Boomin' should be getting picked up by a good number of search engines. This should mean a lot more reviews, more of these things, and maybe a few surprises in the near future. Also, pictures should start getting put up as soon as I get myself a new computer, which should be in a few weeks.
Well, I gotta jet because the sub is bitching at me to get off the computer and get my work done. I told him I know spanish, which he responded at me "I don't care". Anyway, here's my list of the most recent songs I've been listening to. See you next time:

  • 1. "Silicone" (Dead Flowerz)...Esham
  • 2. "Wild West Coast"(Penitentiary Chances)...DRF
  • 3. "Scream" (Doyoubelievengod)...Natas
  • 4. "Misanthropy" (The Unforgiven Vol. 1)...X-Raided
  • 5. "Marijuana Dreams" (Penitentiary Chances)...DRF

-------------Just to show Bruce Wayne that he's wrong, here I am writing some shit about life and news on Boomin. Yesterday was an exciting day, being the release date of the new Esham cd. Bruce, Duffy, and myself went after school to get it at Strawberries, but they didn't have it, those pricks. We had to head on over to the Music Box (of all places) to find it. It was a rare occurence that they had anything by any artist on this page, since they are a store mainly for hippie college people and mainstream shit-music they play on the radio (some lady there showed us where the new cd by Drag-On was, she said it was hot) Anyhow, it was then off to Duffy's to see the Enhanced part of the cd. We ouldn't get the video to work but once we fixed that, we couldn't get the audio to work. Later on, however, Bruce saw it at his house. I'm sure he will talk about it next time he does one of these, but he said it was awesome.
In other topics, Bruce Wayne's girlfriend is a dumb bitch. She is the devil, essentially Natas backwards.
Moving on, I'm moving. I guess the site will now be called "Boomin Words from Portsmouth/Newport" since thats where I'm moving. This comes as a surprise to me, as I was not expecting to move until I went to college. It'll be about two months until I have to move again, this time to South Carolina. Boomin will still continue, of course, with, as now, most of the reviews being done by Bruce Wayne. Anyway, I figured that I should make a list of 5 songs that I've been listening to lately, maybe just to give some people a clue as to what I really listen to (most of which is on mini-disc, cop'ed off my friends) Which reminds me, I don't know the number/names of most of the songs from the original cd. "[" Means that the name and number should be about the same as on the original cd. I'll see what i can do about that later on, until then keep coming back:

  • 1. "Marijuana Dreams" (Penitentiary Chances)....DRF
  • 2. "[When the gods are angry]" [9] (Mail Dominace)...Esham
  • 3. "Resevoir Dogs" (Penitentiary Chances)....DRF
  • 4. "[We almost lost Detroit]" [?] (Doyoubelievengod)...Natas
  • 5. "Scream" (Doyoubelievengod)...Natas

-------------Well I have decided that Serr Dyno and me, Bruce Wayne, should write a column every now and then about our thoughts on things. Since this is my first time expect it to be not so great but oh well I will see what I can do. We really don't know how many people are really coming to the website at the moment so I have no clue if anyone at all is going to read this. So you should write us back so we know that people are actually going to the website.
I'm a little pissed that I haven't been able to get my hands on the new X-Raided/ Nefarious cd "Speak Of Da Devil." Black Market claims it is already out and so does the Internet cd stores but I can't find it anywhere around here. I have even read from many people that they have it and it seems to be a reliable source. Even though I haven't heard it there seems to be mixed feelings about it. Some are saying it is better than Unforgiven while others are saying the new one is better. I really can't see the new one being any better than Unforgiven since that was a classic, and I probably won't know for a while since I can't see it being released around here for quite some time. In other X-Raided news, Brotha Lynch Hung has said that there are around 4 more X-Raided cd's that have been made and all that they are waiting for is Brotha Lynch Hung making the actual beats. Brotha Lynch Hung also said he and X-Raided are going to make a cd together called "Misanthropy." I'm not to sure if that cd will ever come but you never know because if it did I know that would be tight. But I would rather see Brotha Lynch Hung and Sicx do another cd together. They are just so good when they rap together.
In some Esham news his new cd is supposed to come out on March 28. I think that date should stick since the new distribution deal that Overcore Records made with TVT. The new cd is call "Vol.1 Bootlegs ( From the lost Vault)" and is an enhanced cd. I am really looking forward to this one. This is supposedly unreleased tracks that Esham made (but looking at the track listing some seem very familiar). Even if the tracks aren't new I'm still going to pick it up just for the enhanced cd part. I like Eshams new stuff but it can't compare to the old stuff he made, especially during 1994-1996 in which Closed Casket, Doubelievengod, Dead Flowers, and the Neighborhoodshittalka were all released. Mastaminds solo also might have dropped during that time but I'm not sure since I don't have it. It is reported that Mastamind is also working on his cd that is going to be released this summer but who knows after all the supposed cd's that have been promoted before that have never come out. And also Esham is going to have another cd coming out in September called Tongues.
Heres the track listing for Esham's new cd but nothing is certain:

  • 1. KKKill The Fetus
  • 2. As I Rock-n-Roll
  • 3. Redrum
  • 4. Fallen Angel
  • 5. Thinking To Myself
  • 6. Dumb Bitch
  • 7. Morty's Theme
  • 8. Black Orchid
  • 9. Outcha Atmosphere
  • 10. Midnight Hour
  • 11. Price On Ya Head
  • 12. Watch Cha Back
  • 13. What
  • 14. Comerica
  • 15. Suffer The Consequences
  • 16. Monkey Mix
That's about all for this week. Hopefully I should have some new reviews coming soon. Brotha Lynch Hung's 24 Deep should be up by the time you read this and I am planning on writing reviews for Bootleg's Death Before Dishonesty and Shoestring's Representin' Till The World Ends. I'm not sure if Serr Dyno is going to write any reviews soon or even a column like this but you can always count on Bruce Wayne to get the job done. I'm out.
