------------When this cd was released there was a lot of controversy(if you don’t know the story by now oh well since its too long to write about) surrounding it. No one really knew what to expect, including Brotha Lynch Hung himself. Many were hoping for Lynch to return to his “Season Of Tha Sicc” sound as “Loaded” was considered a disappointment to many. After hearing this cd, I would have to say this cd is much more disappointing than “Loaded” ever was.
___The first song of this cd comes as a surprise as “Catch You” was already featured on the Nefarious cd. Though not a bad song, you would expect it not to be featured as it was only a few months ago that it showed up on the Nefarious cd. The first new song is “Hunta Killa” which is another decent track, but nothing special coming from Lynch. “Dramatic” is the next song and this is also another song that was featured on someone else’s cd. Featuring P-Folks and Spice 1 this is tight song, but the fact that I have already heard it takes away from it. “Dogg Market” features an unlikely appearance from Snoop Dog of all people. This is yet another average track, which could have been good but Snoop’s laid back style does not match up good at all with Lynch’s style. “Every Single Bitch” is a remake of X-Raided song by the same name. Once again nothing to write home about. By the time you reach track 7 you are starting to wonder when a good new song is going to appear. Unfortunately you have to listen to “My Love”. For a minute and a half there is a girl singing and its horrible. After sitting through that you are rewarded with an awful song. Hopefully by the time Lynch starts rapping you have already skipped this track. Track 10 “Xcaliber” has to be the highlight of the cd. Though it was already released I had never heard this track so I can’t complain. With this song Lynch finally delivers a tight flow and backed by a good beat. The only flaw is the bad sound quality of this track which is really bad even for a independent release. “One Time” featuring Bad Azz is another tight track with both Lynch and Bad Azz giving good performances. The cd ends with another decent track “Blood On Da Rug” with Lynch showing some nice lyrics.
___This cd was a huge let down. The guest appearances are horrible on this cd and aside from “Dramatic” and “One Time”. The appearances from P.C.O. and Triple Beam really hurt this cd as they take away from each song. Combine this with the fact that there are only 2 solo songs by Lynch and you have to hear a lot of shit verses from these rappers. In just about every song Lynch only has one verse which a problem when this is supposed to be a solo cd. Beats are also a problem as they sound more like “Loaded” than “Season Of Da Sicc”. All of the beats were produced by Phonk Beta and just about everyone sucks. To put it plain and simple this cd just sucks big time. Two of the three tightest songs are from other cds and that says a lot about this cd.In fact 5 of out of the 14 songs are from other cds and that’s just something that can’t be overlooked. Lynch had no control over this cd and it shows as this cd is incomplete and should have never been released. Its sad when the cover is the tightest thing of this cd. No one should buy this cd, not even die hard Lynch fans. So be warned because this cd is not what you are expecting and shouldn’t even be considered a Lynch cd. Just pretend it was never released and you will be doing yourself a favor.
