Born in Invercargill, raised in Wellington and Dannevirke, home-educated, now aged 27, have worked a lot with computers (dos, mac, win, linux - in English/Russian), love the outdoors - especially 'testing my limits' - and I'm a follower of Jesus Christ. I'm now in Ukraine, having learnt Russian and some Ukrainian, working primarily with youth but including and not restricted to child sponsorship, humanitarian aid distribution, and teaching Bible/English/computers.

Vita Big changes?
In August 2002 I married Vita! I can already say that wives are an incredible blessing from God and I love mine dearly. Wedding photos...
Then in June 2003 along came Tima!

On ancestory:
I am fascinated by where I and other people came from. My parents and my father's parents and grandparents were born in New Zealand, but the other grandparents were born in Australia and Scotland. Going back another generation, the grandparent born in Australia had Greek and Irish parents. Then as the generations go back another couple of layers, we add English and Welsh. Before that, who knows, all sorts of races could be there, the further back we go the more likely it is that I have French, Dutch, Norse, and even German or Roman ancestory.
The other part is surnames. My surname (Worboys) has split into about 7 different forms over the last 200 years, but originally it appears to have been French (Warbois), officially changed to the English form by a priest of that name about 500 years ago. If you're a Warboys or any of it's derivatives, feel free to contact me.

On driving:
I love any form of driving, anywhere, anytime, altho I don't like the open road when I'm too tired.  I'll drive/fly or otherwise propel (and have driven/flown or otherwise propelled) fire engines, motorbikes (2, 3, and 4 wheels), go-karts, canoes, row-boats, ambulances, airplanes, kiddie-karts, battery-powered cars, in town, out of town, on land, water, or air, off-road, on any side of the road, on the computer, and at the spacies.  I most especially love cutting time off previous records, like driving the Manawatu Gorge in under 2 min without changing gear, or else driving as economically as possible but still losing no time (requiring perfect execution of corners so that no braking is needed, etc).
My younger brother takes after me, matching the 1999 Lap Record at a Rotorua off-roading track, and failing in every attempt to roll the car.

small fire
I joined the Dannevirke Volunteer Fire Brigade in April 1994, and was awarded my 3-year service certificate in May 1997, becoming Brigade Treasurer at the same time.  Being 'on call' 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, was a major part of my life that I missed when I left New Zealand.
