Ceará

The State of Ceará is situated in Northeastern Brazil, just below the Equatorial line in a really tropical position.   Its capital, Fortaleza, is located in a plain in the seaside.

Area : 146.817 km2

Population: As shown in the 1993 census, Ceará has 6,367 million people, 65% of them in the urban zone and 35% of them in the rural zone.

Weather and temperatures:

Seaside: Hot, semi-humid, temperatures between 26 and 27 Celsius (79 and 81 Farenheit)

Mountains: Cold, humid, temperatures of about 22 Celsius (71 Farenheit)
