Valid passports are required for all in the most coutries. You can only visit (or transit) a
country with a valid national identity card if there is a ID card symbol
 in the valid passport column.

for the visiting countries. Most nationalities do require a visa for longer stays or
other visits than holidays, please contact the consulate (or consular section at embassy) of
that country for further information.
Most visas are only obtainable at the consulate of that country and not at the point of entry
of the visiting country. It is always better to have the right visa(s) before departure.
