Places To Stay in Singapore

This used to be my
worst page in my site with sketchy info at best and most find it useless
enough to send me tons of email regarding places to stay. I initially
intend to keep this page very short as there are many guides out there and
I don't want myself repeating what others had done. My intention still
remains. Here are some skeletal information but give a pinch of advice
what hotels might be good.
Backpackers Accommodation
Here are some listing.
My humble advice is get a copy of Lonely Planet or go to a bookshop &
copy the list down. I hate copying information found easily somewhere else
for slackers. My personal recommendation would be the first 2 although I haven't
personally experience their hospitality. Check out their guests comments
and you will know what I mean.
Inexpensive Hotels
Well, value for money ought to be a better word. These are by no means the only ones. Singapore is small enough that I don't frequent hotels other than attending weddings, seminars, high tea. Therefore I can't really comment on all of them.
Online Resources

For less than
US$70 try
1) Grand Plaza Hotel - Located just 5 mins from City Hall MRT makes
this hotel a jewel for the price u pay. (Refer to map below.)
2) Amara Hotel - Located in the CBD. A few MRT (Metro, Undergroud)
stops to Orchard Rd
3) Plaza Parkroyal Hotel - Located at Beach Rd. 15mins walk to
Bugis MRT and 20 mins walk to City Hall MRT gives you a reasonable
distance from downtown.

For slightly over US$70, try
Orchard Hotel - 5-10 mins away from
Orchard MRT and just beside Hard Rock Cafe
Phoenix Hotel - Right beside Somerset MRT and in the heart of
Orchard Rd.
