Tapestry of Nations

Taking place twice nightly around World Showcase Promenade, Tapestry of Nations immerses guests in a rythmic celebration of humanity. A truly original production, the parade combines amazing, giant puppets, energetic performers and huge floats covered in an impressive array of drums to create one of the most inspiring parades ever. The whole procession starts off with the regal Sage of Time, dressed in an intricatley-grand robe, who introduces guests to the Tapestry of Nations. Next comes the first of many drum floats which sets the stage for this inspring celebration. These floats resemble huge clocks with dozens of drums on the face which slowly rotates while a performer plays the drums along with the parade's great music. The awe-inspiring 20-foot puppets then appear, dancing to the music. These amazing creations are all controlled by performers in full view, so as you see the performers dance, the puppets are dancing the same way. This is one of the most interactive parades Disney has made, since the puppets stop and shake hands with guests, dance with them or do other impromptu things. Many more puppets and drum floats appear before this spectacle comes to a close. There are advantages to watching the parade at either of the two show times, since one is during daylight and the second is after dark. The puppets and the performers beautiful costumes are more vibrant and spectacular during the day, but after dark, the puppets are lit with special lights and the 19 huge, flaming torches around the lagoon create an unforgettable experience.
